A flanged spigot or bellmouth spigot is used to accommodate a circular duct take-off from rectangular ductwork. The flanged spigot / bellmouth spigot may be fitted with a damper to control the airflow. A bellmouth spigot / flanged spigot is usually attached to the rectangular ductwork via rivets or “tek” screws and should have a sealant inserted between the flanged spigot and the ductwork to minimise air leakage.
